GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps. Draw a square which will act as the frame of a cartoon hen portrait.
STEP 1. Outline the general shape of the head and the upper body of the hen.
STEP 2. Detail the body and head. Erase inner lines.
STEP 3. Add the tail and wings.
STEP 4. Work on the whole figure of the hen, adding more details to the tail, wings and head.
